01.12.09 Peter Skinner, England An interesting website found through the self preservation society! We have a bit in common, as I too trained at Chiswick in 1973. I went to Sutton garage for 4 years, leaving to join thr Royal Navy which took me to Norway most winters between 1986 and 1992.

You have some interesting oldtimer buses in this display plus you have the four firetruck display; the first is a Gaggenau which I've never heard of before, the second is a 1926-7 Pirsch which I understand was imported a short time ago. The third is hidden by the ladies but is about a 1939=47 GMC ladder truck which is very rare. Any chance of getting more information and pictures of the Gaggenau and the GMC Thank you, Bob Grey, retired firefighter/writer

Well - taken aback by those drawings in parts 1-4. Did the RT on the 140 appear in the Eagle Comic I wonder, or was it used as a basis for a cut-down drawing? The export vehicles also impressive. And not a Routemaster in site yet. Must explore. Can still remember the smell of brand new Routemasters in the garage and on the way to school
14.09.07 Stig , Norway A fantastic site. I've lived in Stavanger in periods, but i remember all the buses from your archive. Thanks for sharing them!
